Growing Food Security In The North

Food security is a growing concern for northern communities, and Cold Climate Innovation (CCI) is exploring affordable technologies to support food production in the North. In order to provide an effective solution to northern food security issues, this feasibility study will test the Agridome’s ability to meet specific benchmarks:

  • monthly power usage of less than 1800 kwhr
  • monthly water consumption of less than 5000 L
  • production of at least 9.0 kg of edible plant material per day
  • less than 30 hours of labour per month to operate
