An outdoor space will never be complete without a swing. If you have plenty of free space in your backyard, building a swing can be a great idea and your whole family will be pleased. Children will have a place where they can pass the time in the summer and adults can have a nice and relaxing time enjoying the sunlight. An outdoor swing is not a cheap investment, but you can make it affordable by building it yourself. You can recreate the same swing as the one in the pictures by following the exact measurements from the image or make another one and change the dimensions according to your yard size and free space. Once your swing is ready, go out and buy a few comfy pillows and blankets so you can keep yourself warm on chilly summer nights.

    You left out the part about where the eye bolts and chains attach. I have seen some swings like this around and sometimes they put a steel bar across the top 4 x4 beam so it doesn’t bow with the weight.
